Ingredients:
2 ¼ tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast
¼ cup (60 ml) warm milk (100–110°F / 38–43°C)
3 tbsp (40 g) sugar
2 ½ cups (315 g) all-purpose flour
½ tsp salt
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
7 tbsp (100 g) unsalted butter, softened and cut into pieces
1 egg + 1 tbsp milk (for egg wash)
