Introduction: Baked potatoes are the epitome of simplicity and enjoyment. With this recipe, you're guaranteed perfect results: crispy on the outside, wonderfully soft and fluffy on the inside. They're the ideal accompaniment to meat dishes, but are also delicious on their own with a dip. In just a few steps, you can conjure up the best baked potatoes, which impress with both taste and texture!
Ingredients:
1 kg waxy potatoes (e.g., Yukon Gold or Charlotte)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon rosemary (fresh or dried)
1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
2-3 garlic cloves (chopped or thinly sliced)
Freshly chopped parsley or chives for garnish (optional)
Preparation Method:
Prepare the potatoes: Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Wash the potatoes thoroughly and remove any dirt or soil. If the potatoes are larger, cut them into equal-sized chunks or wedges. The skins can stay on, as they will crisp up nicely during baking.
Seasoning: Place the potato pieces in a large bowl. Add the olive oil, salt, pepper, rosemary, and paprika. If desired, you can also add garlic for flavor. Mix everything well so the potatoes are evenly seasoned.
Baking: Place the seasoned potatoes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spread them out evenly, making sure they're not overlapping. This allows them to crisp up evenly on all sides. Bake the potatoes for about 35-45 minutes, depending on the size of the pieces. Turn the potatoes halfway through baking to ensure they're golden brown and crispy on all sides.
Final Crust: When the potatoes are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, remove them from the oven. For even more flavor, garnish with freshly chopped parsley or chives after baking.
