🥢 Fried Rolls (Spring Roll Style)
Ingredients:
Spring roll wrappers (or egg roll wrappers)
1 cup shredded cabbage
1 cup grated carrots
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup cooked shredded chicken (optional)
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp garlic (minced)
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil for deep frying
1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (sealing paste)
Instructions:
Prepare Filling:
Heat a pan with 1 tsp oil.
Add garlic and onions, sauté until soft.
Add cabbage, carrots, and chicken (if using).
Add soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until just tender.
Cool the filling.
Wrap Rolls:
Place a wrapper on a flat surface like a diamond.
Add 1–2 tablespoons of filling near one corner.
Fold bottom corner over filling, fold in sides, and roll up tightly.
Seal the edge with the cornstarch paste.
Fry:
Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
Fry rolls until golden and crispy.
Drain on paper towels.
🥖 Baked Rolls (Bread Roll Style)
Ingredients:
8 slices of white or whole wheat bread (crusts removed)
Filling (same as above or use mashed potatoes, cheese, or spiced paneer)
2 tbsp butter (melted) or oil spray
