Spaghetti carbonara (Italian for "pasta alla carbonara") is a pasta recipe of Roman origin that is very popular not only in Italy but throughout the world.
The original Italian recipe does not include sour cream, but many variations outside Italy incorporate this ingredient.

Ingredients
500g spaghetti (or other pasta of your choice)
300g guanciale or 100g fresh salted bacon and 200g smoked bacon
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 extra-fresh eggs
50g grated Parmigiano Reggiano (Parmesan) cheese
10 basil or arugula leaves
Black pepper
Method for preparing spaghetti carbonara
1. Chop the basil or arugula. Cut the guanciale into strips or the bacon strips into even pieces.
