Spanakopita rolls are a wonderful Greek appetizer that is particularly impressive due to its delicate puff pastry and delicious spinach and feta filling. Here is a simple recipe that you can try at home:

Ingredients:

1 roll of puff pastry (fresh or frozen)

500 g fresh spinach (alternatively frozen)

200 g feta cheese

1 onion, finely chopped

2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped

1 egg (optional for the filling)

2 tbsp olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

A little nutmeg (optional)

1 egg yolk (for brushing)

Sesame seeds (optional, for the topping)

Preparation:

Prepare the spinach:

Wash the fresh spinach, wilt it in a large pot with a little water and then drain well. Squeeze the spinach to remove excess water.

If you are using frozen spinach, let it thaw well and drain off the water.
