Homemade Prune Jam Recipe 🍯

A rich and creamy jam, perfect to accompany your toast, pancakes or even desserts!

Ingredients (for about 4 jars of 250 g):
1 kg of pitted prunes (soft or dry)
800 g of granulated sugar (or special jam sugar)
750 ml of water
1 lemon (juice)
1 cinnamon stick or 1 vanilla pod (optional)
Preparation:
1. Rehydrate the prunes (if dry):
If your prunes are dry, soak them in warm water for 4 to 6 hours to soften them.
Drain them before using them.
2. Basic cooking:
In a large casserole dish or jam basin, mix the prunes with the water, sugar and lemon juice.
Add the cinnamon stick or split vanilla pod if you want to flavour the jam.
Bring the mixture to the boil, then simmer over medium heat for 30 minutes, stirring regularly.
