Homemade Everything Bagels🥯✨

Ingredients
For the Bagels:
🥣 4 cups all-purpose flour
🍬 1 tbsp sugar
🧂 2 tsp salt
🥄 1 tbsp instant yeast
🥛 1 1/2 cups warm water (about 110°F or 43°C)
For the Everything Topping:
🌾 2 tbsp sesame seeds
🌾 2 tbsp poppy seeds
🧄 2 tbsp dried minced garlic
🧅 2 tbsp dried onion flakes
🧂 1 tsp coarse sea salt
For Boiling:
💧 1/4 cup honey or sugar (for the boiling water)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Dough:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast. Slowly add the warm water and mix until a dough forms.
2. Knead the Dough:
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes, or until smooth and elastic. You can also use a stand mixer with a dough hook for this step.
3. First Rise:
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
4. Shape the Bagels:
Punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball, then poke a hole in the center with your finger and gently stretch it to form a bagel shape.
5. Second Rise:
Place the shaped bagels on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Cover and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
