Ingredients:
2 sheets of store-bought puff pastry, thawed

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Roll out one sheet of puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to form a rectangle.
