Honeycomb Cheesecake Cake
Ingredients:
For the Honeycomb Candy:

1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup water
1 tbsp baking soda, sifted
For the Cheesecake Layer:

16 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup sour cream
For the Cake Layers:

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup buttermilk
For the Frosting:

1 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
3-4 tbsp heavy cream
Honeycomb candy, crushed (from above)
Honey, for drizzling (optional)
Instructions:
1. Make the Honeycomb Candy:

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a medium saucepan, combine granulated sugar, honey, and water over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves.
Once the mixture starts boiling, stop stirring and let it cook until it reaches 300°F (150°C) on a candy thermometer (hard crack stage), about 5-7 minutes.
Remove from heat and quickly stir in sifted baking soda. The mixture will foam up vigorously.
Immediately pour the hot mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Let it cool and harden for about 30 minutes. Once cooled, break into small pieces or crush using a food processor. Set aside.
2. Make the Cheesecake Layer:
