If this tingling becomes recurrent or persistent, it's best to seek medical help. Several possible causes:

A vitamin deficiency (especially B1, B6, B12, or E) can disrupt the nervous system.
Diabetes, with its potential nervous complications (neuropathies).
Poor blood circulation that reduces oxygenation to the extremities.
Certain hormonal imbalances, such as an underactive thyroid.
A simple blood test can often identify the source of the problem.

More rarely, these symptoms can reveal specific neurological conditions (don't panic, this is the exception!):

Multiple sclerosis can cause persistent numbness.
An early stroke is sometimes indicated by unilateral loss of sensation.
Spinal cord compression (such as a cervical hernia) can affect the upper or lower limbs. Some specific migraines are sometimes accompanied by abnormal sensations.
Anxiety attacks, with their rapid breathing, can numb certain areas.
If these symptoms worsen or are accompanied by other warning signs (slurred speech, muscle weakness, dizziness, etc.), seek medical help immediately.
So, when should you really worry?
Don't be a psychotic person! Most of these sensations are temporary and not serious. But if they recur, persist, or are associated with other problems, a consultation is necessary. Sometimes, a simple examination is enough to rule out any risk.

Your body is sending you signals... and those little tingles are sometimes worth listening to.
