🛏️ BED BUGS
Hard to eliminate, but possible with persistence and the right approach.
✅ Fast & Effective Methods:
Heat Treatment
Bed bugs die at 120°F (49°C).
Use professional heat treatment or:
Wash bedding/clothes in hot water and dry on high heat for 30+ minutes.
Use a steam cleaner on mattresses, cracks, and baseboards.
Vacuum + Encasement
Vacuum all areas thoroughly, especially seams, cracks, and edges.
Immediately seal and discard vacuum bags.
Use mattress and box spring encasements to trap existing bugs and prevent infestation.
Diatomaceous Earth (Food Grade)
A non-toxic powder that dehydrates bugs.
Apply around bed legs, wall crevices, and baseboards.
Insect Growth Regulators (IGRs)
Disrupt the life cycle; use products like Gentrol in conjunction with other methods.
Avoid: DIY sprays with unknown chemicals — they may scatter bed bugs, making the problem worse.
🪳 COCKROACHES
Resilient pests, but beatable with baiting and sanitation.
✅ Fast & Effective Methods:
Gel Baits (Most Effective)
Apply bait (e.g., Advion, Combat Max) in cracks, behind appliances, and near entry points.
Roaches carry the bait back to nests — it kills others.
Insect Growth Regulators
Combine with baits to stop reproduction (e.g., Gentrol Point Source).
Boric Acid or Diatomaceous Earth
Apply lightly in dry areas behind stoves, sinks, and refrigerators.
Avoid wet areas — moisture reduces effectiveness.
Deep Cleaning
Remove all food residue, standing water, and grease.
Store food in airtight containers.
Seal Entry Points
Caulk cracks, gaps, and under-sink areas to cut off hiding places.
Avoid: Overusing sprays — they scatter roaches and don’t target the colony.
