🍽️ Veal Ossobuco (Milanese Style)

Time: ~2.5 hours
Ingredients
For the Ossobuco:

4 veal shanks (about 1.5–2 inches thick, bone-in with marrow)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

½ cup all-purpose flour (for dredging)

3 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons butter

1 onion, finely chopped

1 carrot, finely chopped

1 celery stalk, finely chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup dry white wine

1 ½ cups crushed tomatoes (or passata)

1 ½ cups beef or veal stock

1 bay leaf
