1. Prepare Potato Mixture
Mix mashed potatoes with cheese, herbs, garlic powder, pepper, and salt.
If mixture is too soft, add a bit of flour or chill it.
2. Form the Balls
Scoop about 2 tbsp of potato mixture.
Flatten slightly, place a cube of cheese or meat in the center.
Roll into a smooth ball and repeat.
3. Bread the Balls
Roll each ball in flour → dip in egg → coat in breadcrumbs.
Chill for 15–30 minutes (helps them stay firm when frying).
4. Fry
Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
Fry in batches for 3–4 minutes until golden brown.
Remove and drain on paper towels.
OR bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 min, flipping halfway, or air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 min.

Add crumbled bacon or sautéed onions to the potato mix.
Make spicy versions with jalapeño bits or hot sauce.
