1. Make the Dough (skip if using bread):
Mix flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add water and knead into a soft dough.
Add a little oil, knead for 1β2 minutes, and let rest while you make the filling.
2. Prepare the Filling:
In a bowl, mix mashed potatoes, cheese, onion, herbs, and spices. Taste and adjust seasoning.
3. Assemble the Rolls:
Divide dough into balls. Roll each into a small circle.
Spoon a bit of filling into the center.
Fold over and seal edges to make a roll or half-moon shape. Press edges well to seal.
Shortcut method: Flatten slices of sandwich bread, place filling, roll tightly, and seal with water.
4. Pan-Fry:
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Place rolls seam-side down and cook until golden brown and crispy, turning as needed (about 2β3 minutes per side).
