In a separate bowl, whisk the egg and kefir.

Add baking soda and mix well (you’ll see it foam slightly).

Gradually mix in the flour until you get a thick pancake-like batter.

Combine:

Add the meat mixture into the batter. Stir until evenly combined. It will be thick and spoonable.

Cook:

Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Spoon dollops of the mixture into the pan (like thick pancakes).

Fry on both sides until golden brown and the meat is cooked through (about 4–5 minutes per side).
