1. Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper.
2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the steaks and cook for 4 to 5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and let rest.
3. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter, garlic, and thyme, and cook until the butter melts and releases its aroma. 4. Crack the eggs into the pan, being careful not to break the yolks. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny, about 2 to 3 minutes.
5. Serve the steaks with the eggs, drizzled with a little garlic and thyme butter.
