STRAWBERRY DROP 🍓

If you want to make gummy bears, soak the gelatin powder in a little cold water according to the package directions (or soak the gelatin sheets in cold water for about 5 minutes).
Remove the strawberry puree from the heat and add the hydrated gelatin. Stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved.

Forming and cooling:
For the jelly: Pour the thick strawberry puree into silicone molds (e.g. ice cube trays, mini muffin tins or special gummy candy molds). If you don’t have a mold, you can also pour it into a shallow bowl, which you can then cut into cubes.
For gummy candies: Pour the gelatinous strawberry puree into silicone molds.
Place the molds in the refrigerator for at least 2 to 3 hours, or until completely solidified.

Serving:
Carefully remove the “drops” from the molds. If you poured it into a flat bowl, cut it into small cubes or other shapes.
Store homemade strawberry jelly/gum in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Tips:

You can adjust the amount of sugar depending on the sweetness of the strawberries.
If you want a more intense strawberry flavor, you can also use strawberry flavoring (but be careful as it can be very strong).

You can also add a little cornstarch to the gum for an even chewier texture (add about 1 tablespoon along with the sugar).
You can roll the finished gummy candy in some granulated sugar to prevent it from sticking.
This recipe is an easy way to make strawberry flavored candy at home. Feel free to experiment with proportions and flavors! Happy Holidays making sweets! 🍓🍬
