In a saucepan, add all the ingredients and mix well until combined. Place over low heat and stir constantly until the mixture thickens to a consistency (smooth and creamy but thick enough to spread).
Once ready, transfer the mixture to a bowl, cover it with plastic wrap — let the plastic touch the surface to prevent a skin from forming.
Refrigerate for about 2 hours until fully cooled and set. Now it’s ready to use as a delicious chocolate cake filling!
