Preparation
Step 1: Prepare the Pork
Thread 2 to 3 pork cubes onto each skewer. Season with salt, pepper, and seasoned salt. Set aside.
Step 2: Set Up Breading Station
In one shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.
In another shallow bowl, add the seasoned bread crumbs.
Place a wire rack inside a 9×13-inch baking dish and pour in the water (the water should not touch the rack).
Step 3: Preheat and Heat Oil
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 350°F (175°C).
Step 4: Bread and Fry
Dip each pork skewer first into the egg mixture, then into the breadcrumbs.
For an extra crispy coating, repeat the process (double-dip).
Fry each skewer until golden brown, about 3 minutes per side.
Step 5: Bake
Transfer fried skewers onto the wire rack. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes to achieve a crispy finish.
Serve
Serve immediately while hot. The result is a nostalgic, crispy, and juicy dish that looks like chicken but tastes like well-seasoned pork.
