🐞 Ladybug Sandwiches

Cut bread into circles using a cookie cutter or a glass (about 2–3 inches wide).

Lightly toast if you prefer a firmer base.

Spread the Base:

Spread a thin layer of cream cheese, hummus, or soft cheese on each bread round.

Create the Ladybug Body:

Place a halved cherry tomato cut-side down in the center of each sandwich (this is the body).

Add the Head:

Cut a black olive in half and place it at the end of the tomato for the ladybug's head.

Make the Spots:

Slice tiny pieces from black olives and press them gently onto the cherry tomato to create "spots."

(Optional: use dots of balsamic glaze if you want a different kind of spot!)

Antennae & Wings:

Add two small chive pieces sticking out of the olive "head" for antennae.

Tuck a fresh basil or spinach leaf under each side of the tomato for β€œwings,” if desired.

πŸ“ Tips:
You can also make a sweet version with Nutella, strawberries, and blueberries!

Make them just before serving to keep the bread from getting soggy.

Great as a lunchbox surprise or a whimsical brunch item!
