1 red onion
1 lemon
2 garlic cloves
1 small piece of ginger
500 ml (approx. 2 cups) water
Honey (optional, for sweetening)
Preparation method:
Prepare the ingredients: Chop the red onion, thinly slice the lemon, peel and crush the garlic cloves, and cut the ginger into small pieces.
Bring the ingredients to a boil: Combine all ingredients in a saucepan with 500 ml of water. Bring to a boil and simmer for at least 10 minutes.
Strain the liquid: After 10 minutes, strain the mixture through a fine sieve to remove the solids.
Serve and sweeten: Pour the liquid into a mug. Add honey if you like a sweet taste. This will also soothe your throat.
How to consume this drink: When to drink it: It is recommended to drink this mixture before bedtime. Be sure to cover yourself with warm blankets after consumption to promote sweating and relieve constipation.
