Rice Water Facial Treatment that you can incorporate into your skincare routine for glowing, hydrated, and healthy skin:
Rice Water Facial Treatment Recipe
Ingredients:
100 g of white rice (uncooked)
500 ml of water
Optional additions based on skin type:
For dry skin: 1 tablespoon of whole milk
For oily skin: 1 tablespoon of orange blossom water
For all skin types: 1 teaspoon of honey (for added hydration and antibacterial benefits)

Step 1: Prepare the Rice Water
Rinse the Rice: Place 100 g of white rice in a bowl and rinse it thoroughly to remove any dirt or impurities.
Soak the Rice: Add 500 ml of water to the rinsed rice and let it soak for 15–30 minutes. Stir occasionally to help release the nutrients into the water.
Strain: After soaking, strain the rice water into a clean container. The water should appear slightly milky and cloudy.
Store: Transfer the rice water to a clean bottle or jar and refrigerate. It can last up to a week.
Step 2: Use Rice Water for Your Skin
Option 1: Rice Water as a Cleanser
For Dry Skin: Mix 1 tablespoon of rice water with 1 tablespoon of whole milk. Apply to your face using a cotton pad, leave on for 5 minutes, then rinse with cold water.
For Oily Skin: Mix equal parts rice water and orange blossom water. Apply to your face with a cotton pad, leave on for 5–10 minutes, then rinse with cool water.
Option 2: Rice Water as a Toner
After cleansing, soak a cotton pad in rice water and gently swipe it across your face and neck.
Let it air dry. No need to rinse!
Option 3: Rice Water Face Mask
Soak a sheet mask or cotton pads in rice water.
Apply to your face and leave on for 15–20 minutes.
Rinse with cool water and pat dry.
Option 4: Rice Water Mist
Pour rice water into a spray bottle.
Spritz it on your face throughout the day for a refreshing boost of hydration.
Step 3: Fermented Rice Water (Optional for Enhanced Benefits)
After straining the rice water, let it sit at room temperature for 24–48 hours until it develops a slightly sour smell.
