Ingredients:
For the Bolognese sauce (ragù alla bolognese):
300g minced beef
300g minced pork
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 carrot, diced
1 celery stalk, diced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 glass red wine
400g canned peeled or chopped tomatoes
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 bay leaf
1 pinch grated nutmeg
Salt and black pepper, to taste
200ml milk (optional but traditional)
For the béchamel sauce:
50g butter
50g flour
500ml milk
Salt, pepper, and a pinch of grated nutmeg
Flour
To assemble the lasagna:
400g fresh or dried lasagna noodles (ideally (pre-cooked)
150g grated cheese (Parmesan)
