1 cube of yeast
15 g margarine, soft or butter
10 g salt
450 g all-purpose flour, type 550 (strong baking)
280 ml lukewarm water
Preparation
So, my dears, first put the flour in a mixing bowl and mix with the salt.
Then dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm water with a fork and add it to the flour mixture, then add the margarine or butter.
Now knead everything together with the dough hook for about 3 minutes, first on a low speed and then on the highest speed, until you have a smooth dough.
Then heat the oven to 100°C, turn it off, and let the dough rise for 25-30 minutes, covered with a tea towel, until it has visibly increased in size.
Next, knead the dough again on a sheet of baking paper, form it into a log, and place it in a baking dish (approx. 24 cm) with the baking paper on it.
Then let it rise for another 30 minutes, until the dough has increased in size again.
Preheat the oven to 215°C (top and bottom heat), 190°C (fan oven), gas mark 4-5, and bake for about 40-50 minutes
