Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to broil and place rack in the middle.
2. Whisk together melted butter, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
3. Pat scallops dry with paper towels and arrange on a sheet pan lined with aluminum foil.
4. Drizzle half of the marinade over scallops and broil for 5-6 minutes.
5. Drizzle remaining marinade and cook until golden brown, about 1-4 extra minutes.

– Thaw scallops completely and pat dry before seasoning.
– Let scallops sit at room temperature for 12-15 minutes before broiling.
– Adjust cook time based on scallop size.
