Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 to 7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Shape and Bake the Donuts:
Roll the dough to about 1/2 inch thick. Cut the donuts with a round cookie cutter and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Cover the donuts with a cloth and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 350°F (175°C). Fry the doughnuts for about 1 to 2 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
Cut the doughnuts with a slotted spoon and drain them on paper towels.
To make the strawberry cream filling:
In a bowl, beat the cream until stiff. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract and continue beating until well blended.
Gently fold in the chopped strawberries and strawberry jam.
To assemble the doughnut:
When the doughnuts have cooled slightly, cut them in half horizontally.
Gently fill each doughnut with the strawberry cream mixture.
To decorate and serve:
Sprinkle the filled doughnuts with powdered sugar.
