1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine the shredded potatoes, melted butter, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Press the potato mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a greased 9-inch pie pan to form a crust.
Bake the potato crust in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until it starts to turn golden brown.
While the crust is baking, in a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and garlic powder.
Once the crust is ready, sprinkle the cheddar cheese, diced ham, and chopped green onions evenly over the crust.
Pour the egg mixture over the top, ensuring it covers the filling evenly.
Return the quiche to the oven and bake for an additional 30-35 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden.
Allow the quiche to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Variations & Tips
For a vegetarian version, omit the ham and add sautéed mushrooms or spinach for extra flavor. You can also experiment with different cheeses, such as Swiss or Gruyère, for a unique twist. If you prefer a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or some chopped jalapeños to the egg mixture. For a more decadent version, replace half of the milk with heavy cream for an even creamier texture.
