Pour 2/3 of the milk and cream into a saucepan. Break up the chocolate Santas and add them. Let them melt. Stir with a whisk until smooth.
Mix the sugar, vanilla sugar, cornstarch and cocoa powder (make sure to use unsweetened baking cocoa) and stir until smooth with the rest of the cold milk - there should be no lumps left.
Pour the mixed powder into the boiling milk and stir vigorously with a whisk. Bring to the boil and cook for about 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Add the rum and stir in. If children are eating with you, leave out the rum. If the rum is only added at the end, you can also divide the mixture: for children «without» and for adults «with» a dash...
Pour the hot pudding into bowls and leave to cool. Decorate with a little whipped cream and hazelnut caramel if desired.
Note: We like it creamy - if you prefer it to be lower in calories, you can use corresponding products. Please no unnecessary comments about the calories!
You also have to find out the sugar content yourself - I would prefer less sugar, my husband thinks the amount given is just right!
😋Enjoy your meal😋
