Make the burgers:
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef (or Mix the chicken (or turkey/chicken) with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Mix well, then form into 4 equal-sized patties.
Fry the burgers:
Heat olive oil in a skillet or on a grill over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until cooked through. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of mozzarella cheese on each patty and cover until melted.
Make the pizza sauce:
In a small bowl, mix the pizza sauce with red pepper flakes and dried oregano. Set aside.
Toast the buns:
Melt the butter in a separate skillet over medium heat. Toast the burger buns until golden brown.
Assemble the burgers:
Spread a generous amount of pizza sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Place the cheeseburger patty on top, then add pepperoni and any other toppings you like. Finish with the top half of the bun. Serve and enjoy:
