Add the raw ground beef into the bottom of your slow cooker.
Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the beef and stir to combine.
Spread the frozen tater tots evenly on top of the beef mixture.

Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
In the last 30 minutes of cooking, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top and let it melt into the casserole.
