1 small onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, finely chopped

½ teaspoon cumin (optional)

2 tablespoons fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped
For the Batter:
½ cup (60 g) breadcrumbs or flour
1 beaten egg
For the Frying:
2-3 tablespoons vegetable oil
