This creamy chicken Caesar bowtie pasta salad is a delightful blend of textures and flavors that harken back to the comforting dishes of my childhood in the Midwest. It’s a dish that brings together the heartiness of chicken, the crunch of fresh lettuce, and the creamy tang of Caesar dressing, all wrapped up in the nostalgic embrace of bowtie pasta. Perfect for family gatherings or a simple weeknight dinner, this salad is a testament to the timelessness of good, honest cooking.
This pasta salad pairs beautifully with a crusty loaf of homemade bread or a simple garlic toast. For a touch of freshness, consider serving it alongside a crisp cucumber and tomato salad. A chilled glass of iced tea or lemonade would complete the meal, making it a perfect option for a warm summer day or a cozy indoor lunch.

2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup croutons
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions. Drain and rinse under cold water to cool.
In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, diced chicken, Caesar dressing, and Parmesan cheese. Mix well to coat everything evenly.
Add the chopped romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, and red onion to the pasta mixture. Gently toss to combine.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Just before serving, sprinkle the croutons on top for added crunch.
Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Variations & Tips
For a lighter version, use a yogurt-based Caesar dressing. You can also add some grilled asparagus or roasted red peppers for extra flavor. If you prefer a vegetarian option, omit the chicken and add more veggies like artichoke hearts or olives. For a bit of spice, sprinkle some red pepper flakes or add a dash of hot sauce to the dressing.
