Filet Mignon with Boursin Mushroom Sauce

1️⃣ Fry steaks
Salt and pepper πŸ₯© filet mignon on both sides.
Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a pan.
Fry the steaks for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
Place on a plate, cover with aluminum foil and let them β€˜rest’.
2️⃣ Preparation of Boursin sauce
Place the second tablespoon of butter in the same pan and add the mushrooms πŸ„. Fry for about 3-4 minutes, until golden brown.
Add the garlic πŸ§„ and fry for 30 seconds.
Pour in the white wine 🍷 and let it evaporate slightly (about 1-2 minutes).
Add the cream πŸ₯› and Boursin cheese πŸ§€ and stir until the sauce thickens.
Season with salt πŸ§‚ and pepper and add the thyme 🌿.
3️⃣ Combine everything
Place the steaks back in the pan and pour the sauce over them.
Let it cook for another 2 minutes, so that the meat can absorb the flavors.
4️⃣ Application
Serve warm, preferably with fried potatoes πŸ₯” or a fresh baguette πŸ₯–.
