Prepare the Potatoes:
Peel 4 large potatoes and cut them into chunks.
Boil the potato chunks in salted water until they are fork-tender.
Drain the potatoes and mash them until smooth. Set aside to cool.
Cook the Ground Beef:
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add 1 finely chopped onion and 2 minced cloves of garlic to the skillet. Sauté until fragrant.
Add 300g of ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned.
Season the beef with 1 teaspoon each of paprika and dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
Assemble the Rolls:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking sheet.
Take a spoonful of mashed potatoes and flatten it into a disc in your hand.
Place a spoonful of the cooked ground beef mixture in the center of the potato disc.
Carefully fold the potato over the filling, shaping it into a roll. Seal the edges tightly.
Bake the Rolls:
Place the assembled rolls onto the greased baking sheet.
Brush each roll with beaten egg wash for a golden finish.
Optionally, sprinkle grated cheese over the top of each roll for added flavor.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and crispy.
Serve and Enjoy:
Once baked, remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy them on their own.
