Pour cream over sausage & get a decadent Southern favorite in no time

I absolutely adore biscuits and gravy. There’s something so comforting about waking up on a cold winter day, getting a fire going in the hearth, and serving up a hearty, homemade breakfast. This is a Saturday tradition in my house because it's a great way to celebrate the departure from our plain, quick weekday breakfast routine. The recipe below is so easy to whip up, you won’t even have to spend much time in the kitchen to pull it all together!
You can make the biscuits from scratch, but it’s just as easy (and tasty) to use Pillsbury biscuits. If you’re looking for a vegetarian meal, substitute your favorite mushrooms (I like crimini mushrooms) for the sausage, but make sure to add extra salt.
