Ingredients:
8 oz (227g) cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp orange zest (freshly grated)
2 tbsp orange juice (freshly squeezed)
2 cups white chocolate chips (or chopped white chocolate)
1/2 cup crushed graham crackers (optional for texture)
1/4 cup orange-flavored candy melts or white chocolate, for coating
Orange sprinkles or zest, for decoration (optional)
Directions:
Prepare the Cream Filling: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, orange zest, and orange juice. Use a hand mixer or stand mixer to beat the mixture until smooth and creamy, ensuring there are no lumps.
Form the Truffles: Once the cream cheese mixture is ready, roll it into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, using your hands. You can chill the mixture briefly in the refrigerator for easier handling if it's too soft.
Melt the White Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate (or candy melts) in 20-30 second intervals, stirring in between, until completely smooth and melted. If using white chocolate, be careful not to overheat it to avoid burning.
Coat the Truffles: Dip each truffle ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated. You can use a fork or toothpicks to help dip and remove the truffles without making a mess. If you'd like to add a little extra texture, roll the truffles in the crushed graham crackers before dipping in the chocolate.
