Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl and cover it with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap.
Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
4. Shape the Dough:
After the dough has risen, punch it down to release air. Shape it into a round or oval loaf, depending on the size of your air fryer basket.
If needed, use parchment paper to line the air fryer basket.
5. Preheat the Air Fryer:
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3-5 minutes.
6. Cook the Bread:
Place the shaped dough into the air fryer basket. If your air fryer is smaller, you may need to make a smaller loaf or divide the dough into two.
Air fry the bread at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes. Check for doneness by tapping the top of the bread — it should sound hollow.
If the top of the bread is browning too quickly, cover it loosely with aluminum foil to prevent burning.
7. Cool the Bread:
Once the bread is done, remove it from the air fryer and let it cool on a wire rack.
Tips:
Optional Add-ins: You can add herbs, garlic, or cheese to the dough for extra flavor.
Texture: The texture might be slightly different from a traditional oven-baked loaf, but it will still have a soft interior and a crispy crust.
Check for Doneness: Use a thermometer to check the internal temperature of the bread — it should be around 190°F (88°C) when fully cooked.
Enjoy your homemade air fryer bread!
