Cookies & Cream Cheesecake Deep-Fried Oreos

1. Prepare the Cheesecake Filling:
In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
2. Mix the Ingredients:
Add the granulated sugar, sour cream, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese. Mix well, then fold in the crushed Oreos. Set aside.
3. Stuff the Oreos:
Using a spoon or piping bag, carefully stuff each Oreo with the cheesecake filling. Smooth the sides to ensure an even layer.
4. Prepare the Batter:
In one bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another, whisk the egg, milk, and vanilla extract. Combine both mixtures and stir until smooth.
5. Heat the Oil:
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or pot to 350°F (175°C).
6. Dip & Fry:
Dip each stuffed Oreo into the batter, ensuring it's fully coated. Fry in the hot oil until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
7. Serve:
Dust the deep-fried Oreos with powdered sugar, and sprinkle extra crushed Oreos on top if desired.

Chef's Tip:
For an extra crispy texture, freeze the stuffed Oreos for 10-15 minutes before dipping them in the batter. This helps keep the cheesecake filling intact while frying.
