Chocolate Palmiers๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹ are flaky, crunchy and deliciously chocolatey biscuits. Easy to prepare with puff pastry, they are perfect for a snack or a gourmet dessert.
Ingredients (for about 20 palms):
1 puff pastry (rectangular, preferably)
100 g dark chocolate (or milk chocolate), finely grated or chopped
50 g caster sugar
1 tablespoon cocoa powder (optional for a more intense taste)
1 beaten egg for glazing
Preparation:
1. Prepare the puff pastry:
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured work surface. If it is already ready, leave it at room temperature for a few minutes to make it easier to handle.
Mix the sugar and cocoa powder (if using). Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the dough.
Then sprinkle the grated or chopped chocolate over the entire surface of the dough.
2. Roll the palmiers:
