Whole Cloves 4
Cardamom Sticks 3
Orange Zest 2tsps
Cinnamon Stick 1
Whole Star Anise 1
Vanilla Bean 1/2

Ingredients Notes
Pears: I used ripe and firm (not hard).
Dry red wine: Prepare this dish with a low-cost wine. Experiment with wine options like Merlot, Gamay, Shiraz, or Beaujolais. Check the instruction notes on the wine bottles before purchasing.
Orange Juice: We may use fresh squeezed orange juice.
Organic cane sugar: It’s a vegan item. You can replace it with maple syrup, granulated brown sugar, and white sugar.
Cloves: Whole cloves work better than ground ones.
Cinnamon Sticks: I use a two-inch cinnamon stick. But it’s not necessary.
Star Anise: It is used to add spicy flavor.
Vanilla Pot: Chop it into two halves to extract its seeds.
Instructions
Shift the saucepan to the stovetop and set its heat to low flame.
Next, add chopped vanilla bean, cardamom pods, star anise, cinnamon stick, organic cane sugar, orange zest, water, cloves, red wine, and orange juice into the saucepan.
Combine all items with the help of a wooden spoon.
Simmer it over a slow flame for 4-6 minutes or until it gently boils.
Meanwhile, rinse the pear with clean water.
Shift these pears into this saucepan.
