This recipe is my spouse's favorite. We eat one portion and they're already wanting seconds.

1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
1 can of refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
2 tablespoons of melted butter
1/4 cup of caramel sauce (optional)
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish lightly with butter or cooking spray.
In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, lemon juice, and all-purpose flour. Toss until the apples are well-coated with the mixture.
Spread the apple mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
Open the can of refrigerated biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Cut each biscuit into quarters, and arrange the pieces evenly over the top of the apple mixture.
Drizzle the melted butter over the biscuit pieces.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, until the biscuits are golden brown and the apples are tender.
Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. If desired, drizzle with caramel sauce just before serving for an extra touch of sweetness.
Variations & Tips
If you'd like to switch things up, try using pears or a mix of apples and pears for a delightful twist. Adding a handful of raisins or cranberries to the apple mixture can provide a lovely burst of flavor. For those who love nuts, sprinkle some chopped pecans or walnuts over the top before baking. And if you’re a fan of spices, a pinch of ground cloves or allspice can add a warming depth to the dish.
