Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until combined.

Gently fold in dark chocolate chips
Place rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
