- Add the grated cheese to the flour and butter mixture. Mix well to distribute the cheese evenly.
- Pour the milk over the flour and cheese mixture. Stir with a wooden spoon or spatula until a smooth, homogeneous dough forms.
- On a floured surface, knead the dough slightly and form small walnut-sized balls.
- Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one.
- Using a kitchen brush, brush the top of each piece of bread with the beaten egg. Sprinkle sesame seeds or sesame seeds on top if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Once baked, remove the rolls from the oven and allow to cool slightly on the sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Serve the cheese rolls warm or at room temperature.
