Texas Sheet Cake Recipe

Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a baking pan or use parchment paper.
Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine granulated sugar and self-rising flour.
Make Wet Ingredients: In a saucepan, combine butter, coffee, and cocoa. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Pour into dry ingredients. Mix on medium speed until combined. Add eggs and buttermilk. Mix for another minute.
Bake: Pour batter into baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Make Frosting: In a saucepan, combine butter, buttermilk, and cocoa. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and gradually mix in powdered sugar.
Assemble: Spread frosting over warm cake. Sprinkle with pecans and chocolate chips. Drizzle with caramel sauce.
