1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
2. Using kitchen scissors, carefully cut the top shell of the lobster tails down to the base. Gently pull the meat out, laying it on top of the shell while still attached at the base.
3. Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet lined with foil.
4. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice and zest.
5. Spoon the garlic lemon butter generously over each lobster tail, ensuring the meat is well coated. Season with salt and pepper.
6. Bake the lobster tails in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and cooked through.
7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with your favorite sides.
Variations & Tips
If you're looking to switch things up, try adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic lemon butter for a hint of spice. You could also grill the lobster tails instead of baking them – just preheat your grill to medium-high and cook the lobster for about 5-7 minutes on each side. For an extra touch of luxury, drizzle a bit of melted herb butter over the cooked lobster tails before serving.
