1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup heavy cream
Directions
1. In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, chili powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
2. Sprinkle the seasoning mix evenly over the chicken strips.
3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken strips and cook until they are golden brown on all sides and cooked through, about 8 minutes.
4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
5. In the same skillet, add the butter and melt over medium heat.
6. Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
7. Return the chicken to the skillet and coat with the cream sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to reheat the chicken.
8. Serve hot with your choice of side.
Variations & Tips
For those handling different dietary needs or preferences, the dish can be adapted. Try coconut cream instead of heavy cream for a dairy-free version. If you're looking to add a little more kick, a dash of cayenne pepper in the seasoning mix does the trick. For families with kids who are not fans of spicy food, reduce or omit the chili powder.
