Keep the ingredients cold: To ensure that the cookies keep their shape during baking, it is important that the butter and egg are cold when you start mixing the ingredients.
Do not overmix the dough: mix the dry and wet ingredients until everything is well combined. Overmixing can result in tough cookies instead of soft, tender ones.
Use an ice cream scoop: To ensure all the cookies are the same size and cook evenly, you can use an ice cream scoop to form the dough balls.
Leave enough space: When you place the dough cookies on the baking sheet, make sure to leave enough space between them so they can expand as they bake.
Let them cool completely: Right after they come out of the oven, the cookies will be more delicate, so let them rest on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
