Put apple slices in slow cooker for a delicious dessert you won't feel guilty eating

4 Red Delicious apples, cores cut out, cut into ¼-inch rings
4 Granny Smith apples, cores cut out, cut into ¼-inch rings
1 cup apple juice
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon ground cloves
1 pint vanilla ice cream
Directions
1. Layer apple rings in a 6-quart slow cooker.
Add apple juice, vanilla extract and butter.
2. In a small mixing bowl, combine sugar and spices.
Sprinkle on top of apples.
3. Cover and cook on high for 2 hours.
4. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
Pro tip: To add a tasty crunch after cooking, crumble up cinnamon graham crackers and sprinkle on top!
