8 ounces linguine or spaghetti
1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 ounces olive oil
2 ounces white wine
2 ounces chicken or vegetable broth
1/2 ounces chopped fresh parsley
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
