Are you tired of battling a persistent cough and looking for a natural remedy? Look no further than your kitchen! Onion and apple tea is a simple, effective home remedy that can help soothe your throat and alleviate coughing.

Why Onion and Apple?
Onions are known for their antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce cough symptoms and fight infections. Apples add a pleasant taste and are rich in vitamins and antioxidants that support overall health.
Ingredients
1 large onion

1 apple (any variety)

4 cups of water

1 tablespoon of honey (optional)

1 teaspoon of lemon juice (optional)

How to Make Onion and Apple Tea
Prepare the Ingredients:

Peel and slice the onion into thin rings.

Wash and core the apple, then slice it into thin pieces. There’s no need to peel the apple unless you prefer to.

Boil the Water:

In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

Add Onion and Apple:

Once the water is boiling, add the sliced onion and apple to the pot.

Reduce the heat to a simmer and let the mixture cook for about 15-20 minutes.

Strain the Tea:

After simmering, remove the pot from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes.

Strain the tea into a cup, discarding the solid pieces of onion and apple.

Add Honey and Lemon (Optional):

If desired, add a tablespoon of honey to sweeten the tea and a teaspoon of lemon juice for an extra boost of vitamin C and flavor.

Enjoy:
